Confession: I had never even considered shapewear before. Not once. I never really saw a need for it. That was...up until now: post-pregnancy baby bod. Suddenly the need is there. And it's there BIG TIME. Look, I'm so proud of what my body was able to accomplish in those glorious nine months. I'm so in love with the perfect little boy body that I somehow miraculously created from my own. But I'm ready to feel like myself again. I'm ready to feel fit, sexy, in control and into all that fabulous fashion again! I'm working hard at it. I'm dieting and exercising and I'm doing it the slow and steady, healthy way. But sometimes my impatience takes over and I just don't like how my clothes are fitting me yet. So I couldn't wait to get my hands on the new Jockey shapewear! Come to mama (as I like to say)...
The Strappy Tank: The second I put this baby on, I was sold. It's like your favorite layering tank but with a little secret -- it makes you look skinnier! The best part about this tank is the patented 3-panel design. It just makes sense. The center part is where you'll get all of the powerful smoothing control. The bust and just below the midriff section is all comfy, breathable cotton. The genius about this design is that it's not just about the shaping section; the cotton material that will be seen when layering with your clothes just looks like a basic tank top! (Now if only they came in several different colors...)
The Slip Shaper: Being so close to my goal weight, I was just dying to get into a form-fitting dress for a date night out with the hubs. This slip gave me that push and confidence I needed. It's perfect for that little black dress, or that sheer, wispy, flowy thing that needs a little coverage underneath. Who knew that what you're wearing underneath is just as important? Just like the Strappy Tank, the Slip Shaper lets your bust area breathe in light weight cotton while giving control to all the right places. The shaping is strong yet gentle (a.k.a. comfortable) in 360 degrees. That means all your angles are covered, ladies!

I wish I had been wearing shapewear on a night out in the city I had with friends recently. It would have made my outfit more flattering.

I'll be needing shapewear myself here in a few months. :) I'm going to have to check out if the slip comes in a nude color. I have the hardest time finding a shorter slip!
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower and a new Mom...again. I wish I had some shapewear after the birth of my children. It would have made me feel a little more put together, especially when you are sleep deprived and have that baby belly!

I wish I was wearing shapewear the whole year after giving birth. I didn't lose the weight very easily.
ReplyDeleteTotally need this since I have a newborn!!! Amen for shapewear!
ReplyDeleteI finally squeezed into my "goal" jeans...but they are SNUG as all hell...and I have a bit of a muffin top...haha.
ReplyDeleteShapewear would be great for fitted dresses/tops etc in these coming weeks...as you said..for that extra "push" of confidence. I wore a fitted black dress the other weekend and felt uncomfortable the whole time in the midsection...that slip looks like it would have done the trick.

Looking back at photos from a family reunion this past summer, I really wish I had been wearing shapewear!
ReplyDeleteI love shape wear. Wore it after my first pregnancy and plan on wearing it again. Cannot wait to try Jockey shape wear.
ReplyDeleteShapewear would have been great after the birth of my babies!
ReplyDeleteI love this giveaway. I wish I had shapewear on right now.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I wore shapewear it was a pair of huge granny panties with a tummy control panel. I had a horrible panty line and the top of the panel cut into my body and created more rolls! Both the slip and the tank top above look amazing! rlnelson710@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteShapewear - what i'll have to wear right after giving birth :)

EVERYDAY
ReplyDeleteWhen I was the matron of honor at my friends' vows, I wish I'd had these shapers to help. I remember I picked something frumpy and over-sized because I didn't feel I looked good in my 'nice' clothes due to pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteI could use shapewear under all my clothes post pregnancy now that nothing seems to fit right!
ReplyDeleteWhen don't I need shape wear?!? Until I get into a good workout/diet routine... this girl could use the cheat!
ReplyDeleteI went to a business dinner a few years back and the dress I wore, definitely needed shapewear.
ReplyDeleteDidn't look too bad, but I was not comfortable the entire night.

I really wish I had been wearing shapewear under a clingy dress to a wedding we went to over the summer... the pictures are awful!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had been wearing shapewear when I went to happy hour last night. It would have reminded me to eat less!!
ReplyDeleteWish I had been wearing it when my son got married....finally. He was 36 and we thought he would never find the right woman.
ReplyDeleteI would wear that strappy tank all the time!
ReplyDeleteI had a formal affair about 5 years ago where I wore a long dress. I felt great before leaving the house, but realized in pictures that I *really* needed to smooth things out with shapewear! It was awful.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

Girl! I've done posts on shapewear because I FIRMLY believe in them after using a foundation piee under my sheer, lacey, wedding gown. ;)
ReplyDeleteI once went to a wedding and wore a very slinky dress. I was pretty young and fit at the time but shapewear certainly would have enhanced my assets.
ReplyDeleteonefrugalgirl at gmail dot com
I wish I had shapeware this past summer when we vacationed in Cabo, the little black dress would have looked so much better if I had shapeware on underneath!

I wish I had been wearing shapewear, post-baby at my son's Kindergarten Graduation. I was wearing this really cute jersey wrap-dress, but when I passed a window at the school I realized that I looked like a Shar-pei in a dress.
