Family Nautical Style - Outfitted {in part} by Gap

We had the pleasure of attending a seriously adorable birthday party yesterday. My friend throws the most incredible kiddo events (ever!) and this nautical themed one was no exception. In fact, it may have been her best one yet. Equipped with a hand-built, hand-painted ship for the little ones to play in, a "milk" photo booth set up for the entire family to enjoy, and hand-sewn, fabric hats for everyone. I keep telling her that she should quit her day job and do this full time and I really hope she listens. Life is too short to not do what you're good amazing at.

Anyhoo, the wardrdobe... We were all encouraged to dress up in theme and stripes and of course I jumped at the opportunity to play along. (What's more fun than dressing up, I ask you? Nothing!

So I headed to Gap to pull some fun nautical pieces to go with our wardrobes at hand. Here's what we wore:

Mommy: Striped Academy Blazer - Gap, White denim - Paige, Polka dot blouse - Bebe, Shoes - Converse.
Daddy: Striped Tee - Gap, Sweatshirt - American Apparel.
Stella: Striped Tulle Dress (sold out online, but avail at some stores) - Gap, Cherokee Ballerina Flats - Target, Pea Coat - Thrift, Denim Chambray - Old Navy, Red Polka Dot Tie - from my Bebe blouse!
Bodhi: Striped Navy Sweater Pants & Drawstring Popover Hoodie - Gap

*PS - did you notice the munchkin's new haircut? She wanted to be like mommy. {Heart... melting...}
