House Hunting

Saturday, November 3, 2012

As if things weren't nutty enough around here, we've decided to throw house hunting into the mix. Which is a challenge (to say the least!) with two kiddos in tow. But the desire to move beats the crap out of my desire to stay stress free, so on we go...
It's astonishing the amount of hilariously bad taste out there. I realize that things like paint and floors are an easy fix, but I can't help but laugh and wonder what so many people were thinking. Mushroom shaped sink? Yes! A door that leads to the garage from the master bedroom? Absolutely!
These shots are from my favorite house we've seen so far. The dark wood flooring, the openness and layout, the yard and gorgeous neighborhood.
Wish us luck. This is only the beginning.

  1. Good luck! Can't wait to see what you're gonna do with some fabulous house!

  2. I understand what you mean – some people just have a completely ‘different’ kind of taste in things, to say the least! Those moments, actually, help dilute some stress. Good luck! And if you’re purchasing a house from a place you’re not confidently familiar with, it would be best to have your agent with you. ;]

  3. How is the house hunting so far? Were you able to pick one from your list? The process of looking for a new place can be tedious, and you will have your share of ridiculous looking home features. But I think the good thing about house hunting is that, aside from picking your own space, you will have an idea on the interiors. You will probably avoid that mushroom looking sink and doors leading to elsewhere. :-)

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. I love hearing from you guys! If you ask a question, I will be sure to respond back here. xx
