East West Mamas: Farewell and Sole Society Feature

Monday, December 23, 2013

The final East West Mamas post has arrived, and what better way to celebrate and go out in style, than with one of our favorite sponsors, Sole Society!
When Carly introduced me to this brand, I had no idea how madly I'd fall in love. (Sort of how I feel about Carly herself, but I'll get to that.) Sole Society offers SERIOUSLY chic shoes and accessories at incredible prices, and this mama is hooked.
I freak over their shoes (can't get enough of this cap-toe pair I'm wearing) and the love affair now continues with their bags!
This gorgeous, leather Lisette bag in poppy red adds such a punch to any outfit. It's been a perfect addition to so many looks this holiday season.

I couldn't help but match my lipstick to my bag when I headed out to my birthday party donning this black and white SheInside ensemble recently.
I'm totally smitten, and I love that it can be carried like a satchel, or tossed on like a cross-body with a removable chain!
Well, I'll try not to get too sappy here, but I just want to shout out some love and appreciation for my fellow stylist, mama, business woman, entrepreneur, fashion blogger extraordinaire and a woman after my own heart - Miss Carly Walko from Thirty Something Fashion. This past year has been a blast. I've been inspired in so many ways and can't wait to see my friend soar and grow in all of her endeavors in the New Year to come.

Make sure to check out Carly's post, where she styles a different, equally fabulous Sole Society purse in a festive green for a holiday look of her own.

Have a wonderful Christmas week, guys! Hope it's relaxing and surrounded by people you love.

East West Mamas Love Ace Commune

Wednesday, November 27, 2013

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Collaborating with fellow fab mamas, rocking the entrepreneurial spirit and still making things happen for themselves while rocking the ever-important (time consuming, exhausting, yet rewarding) title of "mom" really is the best thing I do on November Grey. And today I'm going to give props to two of my favorites.

Miss Carly (above) from Thirty Something Fashion and I have been doing nearly one year of collaborations together (see all here) and it's been a blast. She has two little boys, runs a blog, a styling and box service biz and still makes time for keeping friendships tight and marriage solid. Inspiration? Yes.

Then there's Fumika (below). We met when our two little girls fell instantly in love and became inseparable at daycare when they were just 15 months old. Can you imagine?! It's true.

We made a point to help assist their tiny friendship past daycare and into separate preschools, with play dates and meet-ups, and through that time, I realized what an amazing woman and friend Fumika is herself. She moved to LA from New York, but hails all the way from Japan and self-started one of the NEXT BIG NAMES in Jewelry design. (She was sought out as one of JewelMint's collective series and has many other BIG brands currently seeking a contract.) Check out Ace Commune. I know you will love it too.

{Extra long Dangle Earrings}

Want the chance to win something from Ace Commune for yourself?
Head over to Thirty Something Fashion
to enter to win a pair of earrings AND a necklace!

I'll be back next week, belly full of turkey and heart full of thanks, for the sisterly female friendship that feeds my soul. Hope yours is a good one too! xx

East West Mamas: Karen Kane Dress + $100 GC giveaway! {Closed}

Monday, October 21, 2013

I can't believe it's been nearly a year since my fave blogging buddy and I started East West Mamas. What began as a few friendly email exchanges, has turned into a legit friendship that not only inspires me fashion wise, but in the day-to-day grind of being a mama and trying to take on the world.
We've made some great partnerships (each rocking Sole Society kicks here!) and discovered some fabulous brands along the way... that we hope inspire you guys a little bit too!

Up this month: a killer LBD from Karen Kane.
Truth be told, I scanned the site and fell in love with so much, but didn't notice this dress right away. Then my lovely partner over at Thirty Something Fashion pointed out that it would be a perfect dress come holiday party time, with just the appropriate length for that family gathering and just enough edge on the shoulders to keep it on trend.
She was so right. I'm already envisioning a zillion ways to wear it this upcoming season and when the weather cools down even more, so many options. This dress, like a blank slate, to pile on jewelry, wear with boots or heels... throw a scarf or faux fur vest on top...
You can wear this baby in such an "easy" way, a look that feels pulled-together without putting much thought or effort into it...
And we all need an item in our closet like that, don't you think?!
Cheers to the upcoming season, ladies! I hope you're as excited as I am!

East West Mama's: We Heart Vintage Necklaces

Friday, August 30, 2013

I couldn't resist, guys... I'm full-blown into my transition for fall. And these rich shades of oxblood still have my heart racing as a perfect cooler weather starting point. (Even though I'm currently obsessing on the idea of a pepto bismol, pink winter coat. But more on that later.) Today I'm teaming up with my gorgeous East West Mama's partner to feature a personal styling favorite- vintage jewelry.
This gold tassel necklace was hand selected by an east coast antique vendor and is authentic vintage, not to mention GORGEOUS. I love how cyclical fashion is because tassels are once again, all the rage.
This baby would be fab layered too, but I love how it pops against a one-color combo all on it's own.
The key to styling vintage jewelry (or anything from days past, for that matter) is to marry it with modern silhouettes and other on-trend pieces.
Like these chunky platform sandals from Zara and houndstooth clutch. (Similar here at Banana Republic!)

Want the chance to win and style your own piece of vintage jewelry?

Head on over to Thirty Something Fashion where she's giving away this authentic vintage medallion valued at $100!
(She paired hers with head-to-toe black with a sexy silk maxi dress and amped it up for fall with a leather vest - so fab!)
Good luck and have a fabulous weekend!

East West Mamas: Tshirt collaboration Coin 1804 {GiveawayClosed}

Monday, July 15, 2013

Hi ladies! I'm gonna make this short and sweet: There's nothin' like a good tee. And this month for East West Mamas, Carly from TSF and I are EACH giving you a chance to win one! Coin 1804 graciously gifted me one to try and one to give away... and let me tell you, soft-as-butter.
Remember when I wore it in Paris here? That peaceful, zen, vacation has me blissed-out face? Well, yes, it was Paris, but also the softness that is this tee. I'm definitely a fan of a bargain and own my share of the cheapos, but if you've ever wrapped your body in high quality, premium cotton - you know the difference.
I've already worn this tee a million ways (jean shorts and even with my Hipster G's to bed - it's that comfy), but I thought I'd mix it up a little dressier. I've really been loving all white ensembles lately, so I threw it on with my white jeans and favorite white blazer as of late... and this Birdcage Patch Tee gave it just enough pop!
What do you think? How do you dress up your favorite tees?

The good news? I'm giving away this Aqua Tree Patch tee to one lucky winner!

Enter to win!
  • You must be a follower of November Grey via GFC or Bloglovin' (if you are already a follower, let me know!)
  • Check out Coin 1804 and let me know what else you'd love to try. Comment back here as your entry! Easy!
  • Make sure to leave you email address to be contacted if you win!

For a chance to win a different tee from Coin 1804 - head over to Thirty Something Fashion! Carly's giving one away too!

Open to international submissions
Contest ends 7/22/13 at 10pm PST
Winner will be picked via random.org & announced here by 7/24/13

East West Mamas: A Silk Maxi Story

Monday, April 22, 2013

If it were possible to love a dress upon first sight, without yet trying it on - this would be the case. I was so thrilled to be doing another collaboration with fellow blogger Carly over at Thirty Something Fashion and knew upon spotting this baby on Etsi Wear that it would quickly become a favorite!
Washed black silk that drapes in the most deceptively simple way. The fabric and flow is simply lovely and feels like a dream on...

I trimmed a couple of inches off of the bottom and kept the remnant fabric to use as a belt...
But quickly realized that the beauty of this dress is in the ease of it.
And danced accordingly.

Dress - c/o Etsi Wear
(Available here - in yellow and red too! They also do matching mother/daughter dresses!)
*Get 10% with code SPRING13
Gold Tassel Belt worn as a Necklace - Vintage
Shoes - Zara (Similar here.)

Now head on over to Cary's site to see how she rocked it!

East West Mamas: A collaboration of Style + Dress GIVEAWAY

Friday, March 22, 2013

Oh, goodie! It' time for another collaboration with one of my favorite blogger buddies girl crushes, Miss Carly from Thirty Something Fashion! This time around, I've picked a super easy, super affordable dress from a cool site called Flat84. The best part about this website is that you can score some killer deals on some seriously cute stuff!

This New Zealy Black and White one piece was so fun to style. (See other similar styles here!) I adore how Carly rocked this with leggings and her bright yellow blazer and accessories. It's perfect for that east-coast chill with a bit of sunshine. For me, I love nothing more than a red lip, high heel, easy dress, and a jacket to pull it all together. We loved how versatile this dress was from East-to-West, so we decided to give you guys the chance to win one! (Entry rules below!)
