Summer to Fall Styling {+ 2 key pieces to keep in your car}

I have this favorite, old summer dress. It's light and fluid, sheer and dreamy and begs for bare feet and backyard barbecues... I've worn it for so many summers that the fabric is fraying, but that happens to be one of the very reasons I love it. I tend to wear a vintage slip underneath, so it can peek through in a very feminine way. Alas, it's soon time to pack this lover away for another winter hibernation... but before I do, I wanted to share a favorite trick I have for bringing (just about) anything into fall territory.

1. Blazer (I like these from Gap, H&M & Piperlime.)
2. Pointy toe pumps (Check out Victoria's Secret and Sole Society's options.)

These two items can elevate, polish and bring any summer look to the next phase in seasons. In fact, I like to keep these two pieces in my car just in case I need them in a pinch! You'd be surprised how well they work over anything. Throw on a statement necklace and you're good to go! xx
