I've been obsessivly wearing my Old Navy flannel (seen in video here), so I thought I'd throw another into the mix.

WHITE LEATHER PENCIL SKIRT $5

With no dressing room, I just had to guess the fit. It looked so similar in size to the black one I got at Zara (last seen here) and this one I've been coveting at Asos, so I took a chance. After I got it dry cleaned and home, I discovered it was real leather instead of faux and fit like a glove. Score!

TODDLER  PILOT JACKET $2

This is a random purchase, I know. But I'm a sucker for any kind of costume. With all the kid parties we attend I'm sure it will be worn at some point. I also like the idea of throwing this on over my little man's ripped jeans and tee. Too cute.

Poppin' Tags - Thrift Shopping, Making Time…

Hi friends! Sorry for the silence around here… I took a moment to spend some moments with my kiddos and do a few things that brought me some relaxation and joy. (Don't we all need that from time to time?) One of which - getting back to my thrift store shoppin' roots!

It's been a while since I've been able to do this and honestly, I missed it so much. I used to go every Sunday without fail. Things have been so chaotic lately with the new biz and all,  that I needed to step back and remind myself to freaking enjoy my life, for God's sake.

Anyway, it's magical when you do that because (lightbulb!) you realize that things will still fall into place, nobody dies, and you can step back into your work and goals with a lighter heart and reenergized spirit.

So how cool is this military inspired cardigan? I was eyeballing this Ralph Lauren version here and just about freaked when I found it. I think I just have really good clothes karma or something… or I know how to manifest pieces into reality… either way, I'm loving that it was around $8 bucks + dry-cleaning.

Casual Night Out (Husband's jeans)

*Side note - this clutch was thrifted many years ago and I decided one night to splash some acrylic paint onto it, Pollack style. From there, an idea was born to customize jeans and things with paint and poems. They were sold in a boutique in Hollywood for a while. Years later, I still love this clutch and can't stop distressing jeans in this way. 

Ok, first off - everything I'm wearing here (sans shoes) is thrifted. I love realizing that after I put together a new outfit. Secondly, this here is an almost mirror image of the look I showed you yesterday, but just amped a bit for night. Quick change out from black V-neck tee to this satiny button-up, a dab more lipstick, heels on, hair up, done!

Casual Day (Husband's hat & jeans)

We're packing up to move soon (more on that later) and I've been forced to seriously evaluate my closet piece by piece. I've been sorting and purging, packing and labeling, trying to decide what to keep, what to store, what to sell and what to leave out to wear now. For this particular day, I was happy to rediscover these jeans that I was able to wear for day and night. Stay tuned for how I dressed them up in an almost identical way tomorrow!

*Side note - I originally got these jeans for the hubs at a thrift store for around $5. They had white paint drippings all over them, which reminded me of some jeans I used to make and sell in Hollywood. (More on that later too.) I decided to bleach them out and rip them up a bit and placed them neatly into a drawer next to his carefully selected Levi's. Well, they've been sitting there for over a year now and never been worn, so guess what, honey? They're mine. I might just permanently steal your hat and belt too.

Thrift scores... Mama's baaack!

Hey ladies, (and gents, possibly... possibly?) I snuck off today for some delicious alone time. I was headed to the grocery store when something came over me and I made a hard left into thrift town instead. Inevitably dinner will suffer, but by-God, my sanity will not. It's been too long.

Come to mama...

This dress is everything I love about finding vintage via thrift. It's a no-name label, great color, fabulous condition. The color is much brighter in person and the pleats and length make it very lady-like whimsical. Probably won't wear it 'til next Spring but it's a winner fo sho. Oh, and $5 bucks.

So excited about this wool hat. I'm already planning skinnies and boots and boxy sweaters, topped off with this baby. Easy there, readers with the "ick" factor. I'm taking it to the dry cleaner to have it professionally cleaned. Good-as-new. Also $5 bucks.

Vintage grey gloves with a little gold bling? Yes, please. ($2 bucks!)

And this cropped navy jacket that will transition some of my summery best into cold weather territory. $6 dolla's! Holla!

Leopard + Denim - Maternity look 36 weeks!

I found this leopard shirt dress via thrift for a few bucks very early on in my pregnancy... 

It was way too big at the time, but I knew it had potential. 

My super stylish pal who was accompanying me that day was not in agreement when I picked it up off the racks. I genuinely trust her opinion, so I normally would have hesitated at her hesitation, but I just had a feeling it would work... eventually.

And eventually it did.

Hot Pink + Glasses + Bump

Remember when I said it's about time to slow down? 

Well, I'm meticulously trying to tick off all of the things on my {GIANT} To Do list, which among other things includes finalizing some paperwork for a new business venture. Something I can't wait to begin once I'm up and at 'em again towards the end of the year!
So what to wear when you still want to feel in the game? Duh. Glasses. And something bright and bold(er) than the bump you're sporting.

Red + Checks + A really big belly!

Sometimes I just laugh at myself that I'm still trying to keep up with my original sense of fashion when I just keep getting bigger and BIGGER. When should a girl slow down? That is the question...


My original sense, which includes my obsessive love for anything interesting & unique via thrift or vintage shopping, mixed with high and low end designer fabulousness.


This checkered dress (worn as a top) is a perfect example. I found it for $5 bucks at a random thrift store last summer and just loved looking at it in my closet, but had yet to find a way to make it work. Marry it with one of my all-time favorite vintage scores, this red pleated skirt (first worn here) and glittery flats and I still felt very much me. 


Even though me currently looks like she swallowed a beach ball.

Thrifty Finds

I popped over to one of my favorite resale shops, Buffalo Exchange the other day, and although I didn't sell anything, I found three beauties to take home!

This baby is just perfect for my boho summer wardrobe!

It had me out only $12 bucks.

I'm so excited about this one. 

I'll wear it as a top now, and a super short mini dress post pregnancy. $7!

This may look like nothing now, but just wait (til tomorrow to be precise!)

It's a silk T-shirt dress that reminds me so much of HATCH Collection 

And with their version coming in at $208 retail, I'd say I did OK with my $18 price tag

{On a side note, the pretty painting was done by artist, Amy Lynn, who my husband commissioned to do a piece of us for a wedding gift. I think she captured us perfectly.
