Being an artist type is not easy. And sometimes I find myself getting disappointed or distracted by certain plans and dreams that don't exactly turn out the way I'd hoped they would. But then magically, something else always comes along. And I'm reminded that if I keep doing what I love, if I keep being creative, work will come.
And what kind of a life would it be without the love of those spirit-rising, heart-thumping, awe-inspiring dreams?
Not a life that I'd like to be a part of. Not a life at all.
So here's to the chase, lovely girls...

I am SUCH a control freak and since the birth of my baby boy I am freelancing and it is SUCH an out of control feeling...and when a gig ends, I wonder when the next one will come along and then BAM something just falls out of the sky...Actually right now I might have a BIT too much going on. lol.

i'm so glad you wrote this! i've been going through a terrible time the past 5 days (as you might have read) and was very hurt by some people close to me about being who I am. i'm a creative person and my lil budding style blog was something i enjoyed immensely and all my sisters/family are all musicians, artists, creative artsy people and we live for this type of stuff. we need the chase, we need the drive and desire and we need to rise above the petty people and those that wouldn't want us to shine as bright as we possibly can. keep going, i ADORE this blog and you as well!
