Layered Black

I've been trying to look at my closet in a different way lately. I always pack my clothes away by season (a product of not having enough closet space) and this keeps me super organized. But I held on to several dresses this time around, to think of as layering pieces.
I'm pretty sure tights and a black turtleneck can make anything work this time of year!

Side note ~ It's finally starting to feel like winter here in good ol' Southern California, and not much else makes me happy in this kind of way. A prelude to the holidays, my birthday, reasons to celebrate so much in my life, all snuggled up and surrounded by people I love. The best damn time of the year. Hope you're enjoying it too!

  17. I've been doing this for year, though not as well as you :-) I hate putting away my dresses, so use them as tunics in winter. Admittedly, both my homes don't have very heavy winters :-)

  18. This came out great. I am in search of thin turtlenecks like yours in white, black and camel. If you know of a store that is reasonable prices, please let me know.
    I would go nuts if I had to pack my clothes by season. Plus it is hard here cause it could be spring/summer like weather in the middle of February. My mom does it too though. Glad you kept some out. Your daughter's vest is so cute. I got my daughter an animal print fur vest the other day. So cute and she loves the feel of it. Of course she does!
