OH, August... what a whirlwind of a month. Things have been crazy busy around these parts, including a new business venture, not one, but TWO kiddos birthday parties (that I insisted on doing the majority of home-made), family in town, not to mention the typical day-to-day grind. But I do like this month. I'll always mark this month as a pat on the back. I did it. I produced two, healthy, gorgeous cubs and every year this month, they'll grow one year older in this crazy-beautiful, scary, exhilarating, messed-up, but oh-so-wonderful world. (In fact, Bodhi was almost named August, but that's another story for another day...) It's OK to feel proud of our accomplishments, ladies. It's OK to say it. And it's more than OK to make sure you feel put together and pretty while doing so.
Do what makes you happy. Do what makes you feel good. But love your loved ones. Really love them. Because everything we're doing means nothing if we're alone.
Life is short. You are little and then you are old and then it's over in a flash. Today August 31st marks the day my son was born, and the day another friend in our life slipped away. It's like the hubs and I keep getting reminded just how lucky we are to be alive. We're listening. And we appreciate.
My only wish is the same for you.
